99-06 Fullsize CHEVY/GMC 1500/2500/3500 Truck Spare Tire Relocater This spare tire relocater will move the spare tire forward to allow additional clearance for a roll pan. It will not raise the spare tire up higher. If installed with a hidden hitch, a smaller spare tire must be used. Installation: 1. Remove the spare tire from the truck. 2. Unbolt the factory spare tire crank mechanism from the frame. 3. Bolt the Sir Michael's spare tire relocater to the existing holes that were used for the stock crank mechanism. 4. Bolt the factory crank mechanism to the Sir Michael's spare tire relocater. 5. Re-install spare tire. NOTE: The Sir Michael's spare tire relocater will only move spare tire forward to allow clearance for our Sir Michael's steel roll pan, it will not raise the spare up any higher from the factory location. Note: Short beds using a hidden hitch will need to down size your spare tire. To find the maximum size spare tire install your hitch and spare tire relocater. Extend the tire hoist cable and take a measurement from the cable to the back of the hidden hitch, then from hoist cable to rear end housing or sway bar, whichever is closer to the cable. Take the shortest distance in inches, multiply by two and subtract four to get the maximum overall tire size you can run.
